USB DVI externi pripojeni monitoru

Příspěvekod vladarocker » 23 zář 2008 20:49

Ahoj, nemáte náhodou někdo, prosím, zkušenosti s USB externí "grafickou" kartou k připojení monitoru. Dnes jsem koupil, potřebuji usb 2.0 z notebooku Acer Aspeire 3000 spojit s DVI vstupem z eiza. Nevím si rady s dokončením instalace, návod us takže ne zcela kapíšto... Píšou nepřipojujte krabičku dříve než nainstalujete usb ovladač... Pak by mělo dojít k připojení a zapnutí usb-dvi-monitor-pc najde nový hardware a pak dle návodu, zatím jsem jelen:-))

...On Win XP, a Found New hardware Wizard will appear. Pleas take these steps to complete the instalation

a. select No, not this time to ignore Windows Updates and click Next - tak nevím, kde to next najdu..?? nějak jsem neviděl...

b.select instal the software automatically /recommended/
/najednou se hovoří o softweru.../
and click Next

c. Click Finish to complete the installation

d. When instalation is complete, an identical screen will appear on the add-on monitor
jsem jsem se nedostal

pak píšou, že normální, že monitor v notebooku párkrát zabliká... to ano
Nicméně ve vlastnostech další monior na usb pořád nevidím!!!

Angličtina trochu slabá a krom toho XP používám relativně krátce...

???

Nevíte někdo pls..
Vlada
Dostal jsem se dost daleko.. ale pořád nefunguje!! Mrcha jedna:-))

The following changes have been made since release 4.2.6975:

1706 Removed EDID monitor range checking. Software will now try and display on a monitor
even if it does not support the EDID reported timings. This means that an image will
try to be displayed, which may not look perfect. Previously the screen would have been
blank.

1818 EULA is no shown at the start of the install

Installing This Release
=======================

Prerequisites:
--------------
The software requires a USB 2.0 capable PC with a 1.2 GHz or higher processor clock speed and with at least
512 MB of memory. The PC’s operating system must be Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2,
Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4, or Vista. Other operating systems, including 64-bit editions of Windows XP
or Vista, are not supported.

Important note: users who have v3.x ‘USB Display Adapter’ software installed in Add/Remove
Programs must uninstall it before installing this release. They will find that the devices using that
software will continue working after this release is installed.

Important note: users who are installing several devices should make sure that each is fully installed
and showing an image before attaching the next.

Installing USB devices:
-----------------------
For a software-first install, unzip the release package and double-click on ‘setup.exe’. Once the drivers are
installed, attach a DisplayLink Graphics Adapter to the PC. The computer automatically detects it and starts a
‘Found New Hardware’ wizard. Click on ‘No, not this time’ then on ‘Install the software automatically
(recommended)’, then on ‘Finish’. Repeat for each device to be installed.

For hardware-first installation, unzip the release package to a convenient place, connect the Graphics Adapter
and point the ‘New Hardware Found’ wizard at the unzipped release package.

Uninstalling the Release:
-------------------------
To uninstall the release, go to the ‘Add or Remove Programs’ dialog box (or the 'Uninstall a Program' dialog
box on Vista), select the customer product you installed, and choose ‘Remove’.

Using the Release:
------------------
Please read the manual and the FAQ for notes on using the release. For references
see the Related Documents section above. Some brief notes:

On Windows XP and Windows 2000:

- After installation of the software, connection to the device, and installation of the hardware driver, the
service software will automatically put the attached screen into its last known mode (Mirror or Extend).
The mode used at first connection is set in the customer configuration in the Customer Install Package.

- The service software starts running as soon as the PC software is installed, and runs automatically
whenever the PC is started, unless manually switched off.

- The external display can be controlled via the DisplayLink GUI, accessible by the icon in the system
tray.

- The user can also control the external display by bringing up the Windows Display Properties dialog,
Settings tab and selecting the Graphics Adapter, which will be labelled ‘[device] on DisplayLink
Graphics Adapter’ (where [device] depends on the Graphics Adapter used).

- Selecting to Extend the desktop onto this adapter will set the monitor connected to the
Graphics Adapter into Extend mode (in the relative position selected in this dialog, and with
the resolution and colour depth selected for this Graphics Adapter using this dialog)

- Selecting to NOT extend the desktop onto this adapter will automatically revert to Mirror mode,
using the resolution and colour depth of the main screen, if appropriate

- In Extend, selecting Primary will set the DisplayLink Graphics Adapter display as the Primary
display, as used by the Windows operating system.

- Resolutions, colour depths and frequencies offered will depend upon those supported by the
connected Graphics Adapter and monitor.

- Unplugging the USB cable of the DisplayLink Graphics Adapter will cause the connected display to
blank and any windows to re-appear on the main display (in extend mode). Replugging in the Module
will revert to the previously selected mode (note that windows will NOT be replaced back on that
display).

Windows Vista Notes:
--------------------
- Normally, Vista is in WDDM mode. In this mode, Vista graphics drivers are used, and the Vista Aero
Glass look may be available. When a DisplayLink Graphics Adapter is installed and attached, it will
disable the Aero Glass look. When all DisplayLInk Graphics Adapters are detached, the Aero Glass
look will be restored if system resources permit it.

- If all the drivers in the graphics subsystem are XP rather than Vista drivers, then Vista runs in XDDM
mode. In this mode, the Aero Glass look is not available. In this mode, DisplayLink Graphics Adapters
support a single extended screen and multiple mirrored (cloned) screens. The first attached screen
supports both extend and mirrored mode; other attached screens support mirroreed mode only. The
DisplayLink GUI supports the first attached screen only.

Known Issues
============

Install issues:
---------------
- Important note: users who have v3.x ‘USB Display Adapter’ software installed in Add/Remove
Programs must uninstall it before installing this release. They will find that the devices using
that software will continue working after this release is installed.

- Important note: users who are installing several devices should make sure that each is fully
installed and showing an image before attaching the next. (1240)

- Virus checkers set to very high security may prevent the installer from running. They should be set to
lower security during installation and restored to high security once installation is complete. (935)

- When installing, make sure that only a single user is logged into the PC. That user needs administrator
privileges. (1112)

Vista Issues:
-------------
- Video support is very limited on Vista.

- With Vista WDDM with extended screens, video or DVD playback are not supported in
general. Exceptions: PowerDVD7 and QUicktime are able to display video on a DisplayLink
attached display, so long as that display is the primary display.

- Video is not supported in clone mode on Vista. It works, but exhibits poor performance. (1495)

- Related problems: Windows Media Centre does not work full screen (1348); Windows Photo
Gallery slideshow does not work on DisplayLink device-attached screens (1535).

- The Transient MultiMonitor Manager 9TMM) is enabled on some Vista versions, particularly laptops. Its
function is to detect when the user attaches an external monitor and put up a 'Found new display'
dialog. When the laptop also has an Intel 945 graphics chipset, this component crashes in the
presence of DisplayLink software, and the PC runs slowly. To avoid this problem, DisplayLink
software disables the TMM when it installs, and re-enables it when it uninstalls. Users should note that
if they manually enable TMM in this situation, it will likely interact badly with DisplayLink software (1530)

- Vista language support has not been fully tested. When running on a native version of the Vista, in one of
the supported languages, the first installer message appears in English. Subsequent installer / GUI
messages appear in the native language. When running on Vista with a language pack installed,
or with the MUI (Multilanguage User Interface) pack installed, the installer and GUI appear in English.
(1301)

Windows XP SP2 issues:
----------------------
- On a system with Fast User Switching enabled and with multiple users logged in, new devices are not
detected and the PC freezes during shutdown if the devices remain attached. The devices install
correctly after a hard reboot. (1087)

Windows 2000 issues:
--------------------
- It is important to check in Windows 2000 that full USB2 is available, otherwise performance will be
impaired. To do this, look in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers for an item called
"USB 2.0 Root Hub". If it is not there then performance will be USB1. (1188)

- When many devices are attached to the PC and the PC is hibernated then woken up, not all the
devices come back to life immediately. It is occasionally necessary to detach and reattach the USB
connection to a device to coax it back to life. (1293, 1302)

- Foreign language support on Windows 2000 has not been fully tested.

All platform issues:
--------------------
- If DisplayLink devices are added or removed while a screensaver is running, the screensaver may or
may not keep running. (277)

- 3D screensavers do not run well on DisplayLink devices and can cause flicker. (1150, 1177)

- Best video performance is available on PCs that support SSE2 (Streaming SMID Extensions 2)
instructions. Recent Intel CPUs fall into this category. PCs that do not support this instruction set will
see video performance improved from R4.0 but not to the same extent.

- If devices are detached from the PC before going into standby, then reattached during standby, very
occasionally they may not resume when teh PC comes out of standby. If this happens, detach and
reattach the devices to make them work again. (1492)
