Na stolním pc nejde net, ale na ntb přes wifi normálně jde

Na stolním pc (os - linux ubuntu) , které je připojeno k modemu přes kabel USB (vím, že to není chytrý, ale doteď to fungovalo, tak jsem to neřešila), mi nejede net. Přitom mám připojený ntb přes wifi a ta šlape v pohodě. Prostě ho OS stolního pc nevidí, nenačte.. já nevím. Zkoušela jsem už snad všechno - připojit kabel do ntb, ale to funguje.
Prohledávám fóra už druhý den, ale pořád nic. Teoreticky si myslím, že vím, jak problém řešit, ale prakticky jsem úplně ztracená (nainstalovat nový catche a nejlíp připojit stolní pc přes wifi - nicméně nemám páru jak).

Budu vděčná za jakoukoli radu! :) Díky.

Používám ho už půl roku a nemám s tím žádný problém.

Ak sa ti nahodou updatoval OS, je mozne, ze sa updatoval ovladac pre modem, ktory pouzivas. A ten novy ovladac potrebuje bud donastavit, alebo uz nefunguje s tvojim modemom.
Hod sem vypis prikazov:
1: lsusb
2: ifconfig
3: dmesg

Tiez je potrebne uviest presny typ modemu USB a verziu OS
Verzia OS sa zisti prikazom: uname -a
Typ modemu bude najskor na stitku (zvycajne zospodu)

Jen doplním, že vlastním totožnou externí wifi kartu a mě způsobovala aplikace od tp linku samovolné minimalizování při hraní takže nainstaluj jen ovladače.. já musel přeinstalovat OS, jsem si myslel, že to způsobuje vir až pak jsem na to přišel :)

Modem pripojeny mas, system ho spravne vidi a rozoznava.
V sietovej konfiguracii ti chyba nazov interface a k nemu priradena IP adresa aby mohol system komunikovat s USB modemom. To, ze chyba nazov interface moze byt tym, ze sa nezaviedol ovladac.
Este existuje moznost, ze ovladac je zavedeny, akurat sa zmenil nazov interface na iny (napriklad eth0 sa zmenilo na usb0) a NetworkManager si zmenu nevsimol.

Vyskusaj poprezerat nastavenie NetworkManagera ci neobjavis chybu.

Pre zistenie ci existuje ovladac by bolo potrebne vykonat prikaz: lsmod
a este prikaz: ip addr show

Mas tam dva nenakonfigurovane interface.
Predpokladam, ze tam nemas 2 LAN karty.
Jeden iface bude pravdepodobne od toho modemu a je mozne ze navzajom prehodili ked si odstranila USB modem a system nabehol bez toho modemu.
V NetworkManager odobrat vsetky iface a znova nakonfiguravovat by mohlo pomoct.

pripadne vyskusaj ci bude niektory spravne reagovat na nahodenie pomocou:
ifconfig ethX up
dhclient ethX

Dvě LAN karty nemám :). Zkoušela jsem ty příkazy a psalo mi to, že operace byla zamítnuta.. takže ještě chci zkusit znovu všechno nakonfigurovat.

Možná to bude znít hloupě, ale nejde mi najít v grafickým prostředí networkmanager a nejde to nakonfigurovat znovu ani podle příkazů. (i když tady může být chyba ve mě)
